Your data
What is stored
- your entries, tasks, projects, notes, habits and attached files;
- transactions from statements you uploaded: date, amount, merchant or payee, the bank's description;
- Studio materials: artists, prompts, references, images and videos on the canvas, releases, ideas and your ratings;
- your sign-in email, language and settings.
What we don't and can't have: bank passwords, card numbers, access to accounts. Makerove cannot pay or transfer money.
Who sees it
Only you. This rule is written into the database itself for every table: even if the app has a bug, the database won't hand out other people's rows. Files are in private storage, each person has their own folder; image links are temporary and last an hour.
Honestly about the service owner: technically they have access to the database for maintenance and backups. They don't open your records — only if you ask for help with a problem. Feedback you send with the 💬 button is read: that's what it's for.
How it is protected
- sign-in without a password — by a code sent to your email; there's nothing to steal, and codes are rate-limited;
- everything travels only over a secure connection (HTTPS); the database and files are stored encrypted;
- the database and AI access keys live only on the server, never in the apps;
- daily database backups.
Tip: turn on two-factor authentication for your email — whoever has your email can get a sign-in code.
What the AI receives when parsing a note
- the text of the note — exactly what you typed or dictated;
- when the note was made and your time zone — to understand “tomorrow” and “by Friday”;
- the names of your categories — so the AI sorts into them instead of inventing new ones.
Nothing else: not your email, other notes, reminders or files. Audio is never sent — speech is turned into text on the iPhone by Apple.
Finances and bank statements
The statement file is read in your browser; only the parsed transactions reach the server. To sort them into categories, the AI receives the merchant or the transfer recipient’s name as the bank writes it (including yours for transfers between your own accounts), the operation type, an approximate amount and how often it occurs. Account and card numbers and balances are never sent.
"Ask the AI" and Studio
- "Ask the AI" in Finances: the AI gets a summary — dates, amounts, merchants and categories, recurring payments and the balance if you entered it. No account or card numbers.
- Reference analysis: the AI receives the image, and the image itself is kept in your private folder to show on the card. Shot from a photo in a release: only the AI sees the photo; we keep just a small thumbnail.
- Releases, ideas of the day, shots: the AI gets the artist's DNA, your ratings and notes — exactly what it needs to answer.
- PDF import: the AI reads the file and it is deleted from storage right away; only the cards remain.
Instagram Studio and a connected Instagram
- Instagram is connected only if you choose to, via the official Instagram (Meta) login. We request two permissions: basic account info and content publishing.
- We store: the Instagram account ID, username, account type, profile photo link and the access key. The access key is stored encrypted, only on the server, and is never shown in the app.
- We use the key only to publish the post you choose to your account when you tell us to. We don't read messages, comments, followers or other accounts.
- So Instagram can fetch the photo or video, we give it a temporary link to the file in your private folder; the link stops working after 2 hours.
- You can disconnect Instagram at any time in Instagram Studio or in Instagram settings — the access key is deleted immediately. On a data deletion request via Meta we delete all connection data for that account; your posts in Makerove remain your materials and can be deleted in "My posts".
Who processes it
Parsing is done by Anthropic’s Claude model through its API — the request goes from our server, and the access key is kept only on the server. Under Anthropic’s rules, API data is not used to train models and is kept for a limited time to prevent abuse.
Your notes are stored in a Supabase database in Europe. Each user sees only their own data — the database itself enforces this, not just the app.
Image drafts happen only if you connect your own key (fal.ai, Google Gemini API or xAI): then the shot prompt and the chosen references go to that service under your key and its rules, and the finished image is saved in your Makerove. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown in the app.
Your rights
- Download everything — a JSON file with all your data or a table of items (Settings → Data).
- Delete account — together with all entries, files, images and Studio materials, permanently (Settings → Data).
- Notes keep working without internet or AI — parsing simply waits.
